On leaving La Roche, if you take the direction of Reignier, you pass under the motorway and get to a roundabout. You are now in the hamlet of Moussy, in the Commune of Cornier, just beside a chapel. This historic building is one of the rare roman religious edifices in the region. Its origin goes back to the 12th century and a Maltese Cross, carved under the eaves, leads us to suppose
that the building housed a religious order, in this instance, the Knight Templars founded in 1119. Moussy was therefore a "Commanderie" of the knights of St. John of Jerusalem.
