Located at 28 km from La Roche and 14 km from Thorens, the "Plateau des Glières" is indeed a natural fortress. As a symbol of the French Resistance, it has become a site of remembrance and history. Thanks to the proceeds of a national fundraising initiative, a magnificent monument depicting a bird with broken wing, was created by the sculpture Gilioli who cleverly erected it facing the mountains. Visit it anytime, all year round. This National Monument to the Resistance and the historic footpath make an ideal ramble. |
