 "Le Pays Rochois" has the advantage of having 3 locations for practising Nordic skiing, all within about a 10 kms radius of La Roche. All in all, there are almost 140 kms of groomed ski trails in 3 different natural landscapes, all with magnificent panoramic views. The Nordic hostels will extend a friendly welcome : you can negotiate daily and season package deals, hire equipment and snow-shoes, and even enjoy the comfort of a cup of tea after a good day's walk, in a convivial atmosphere.
Bear in mind that enough snow to maintain the trails is not always assured. You are advised to telephone the appropriate Nordic hostels before setting out.
